Review on 🔋 Schumacher 15 Amp/3 Amp Fully Automatic Battery Charger and Maintainer for Marine and Automotive Batteries - 6V/12V by David Carmody

The SC1360 Battery Charger is a great little charger with 15A fast charge, 8A standard mode and 3A float mode. I've added my own gold to the black labels shown in the pictures to clarify its use. Asterisk or snowflake - to put fully charged batteries in service mode (floating) or to charge small batteries of tractors and motorcycles. The boat symbol represents large batteries such as car, light truck, and marine batteries. The charger is ideal for charging AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries used in new vehicles. Also has an STD setting for standard lead-acid batteries used in most vehicles. The GEL setting is for batteries with deep cycle gel cells. Plug in the charger and after setting the battery type (STD, AGM, GEL) and charge rate (Conserve/Small or Large/Auto/Marine), the battery will automatically check the battery and start charging. Once fully charged, it will automatically switch to float mode and the battery icon will light up. All indicators and the display go out after a few minutes, although the charger is still working. Press any key to show the display again. Press the battery type button once to use the device as a voltage tester. The charger can detect a sulfated battery, display SUL and automatically switch to desulfation mode. I was able to charge a nearly dead AGM battery on my son's 2017 Camero. I bought the charger after the camero wouldn't start. The charger indicated bad bAt. Although the battery was fine a month ago, the car was parked in the driveway while my son was sent to Iraq. It turns out that AGM batteries do not require maintenance if the car is started once a month and driven several kilometers. I connected the Camero in parallel with a good battery in my car, connected the charger and put it in AGM and Large Battery mode. He then proceeded to properly charge the Camero's battery. A day later I disconnected the cables and both cars started normally. Hooked Camero up to SC1360 in maintenance mode for 2 more months until my son came back and picked up his car. Once you understand what the two buttons do, this is a great charger.
