Revainrating 4 out of 5

Looks good and does a good job.

Four years later. It still works great, I use it 2 or 3 times a day almost every day and I love it. It still creaks, but it doesn't bother me anymore. However, a small issue with removing the tray when full remains, but it didn't break, which was my main concern. Two years later. This grinder is holding up very well and I've used it quite well. every day for over two years. I like the ability to adjust the grind as I usually want a coarser grind than most other grinders, but if I want a finer grind this grinder gives me that too and the adjustments are easy. People are sometimes surprised that I use an old coffee grinder because I think it's antique. My only complaint is the one I noted in my original review, which was that the drip tray is difficult to pull out at times. Original review As I want to end on a positive note, I'll start with the negative points. First, as others have pointed out, it takes a long time to grind enough soil for one pot and it creaks badly during grinding. Second, if I overfill the hopper even a little, the compartment is difficult to open and the compartment itself feels a little flimsy. On the positive side, this manual coffee grinder is beautiful. Crafted from heavy cast iron, it looks like a real antique. The coloring isn't perfect, but it only reinforces the vintage look. Once I figured out how to adjust the grind size, I was able to get almost any grind size I wanted. So it looks good and does a good job. As far as I know, it's worth four stars.
