These hooks are tedious. Some of them weren't sharpened properly. Now the hook area looks warped and distorted. Another annoying aspect is that the yarn, and I've tried different types of yarn, doesn't work on these hooks slips well. Slipping is important to make crocheting fun, not a chore. I don't know, does that mean they need to be coated or polished, but the yarn doesn't slip in its current state? I've tried closing them use, but after about 30 minutes of use I go back to my regular aluminum hooks on every project I'm working on They've really slowed me down.
