The metal rod and screws are said to be more durable, but fail after just a few weeks of use.
Ordered to replace broken wheels on the lower rack of a Kitchen Aid dishwasher. The originals lasted seven years. The exchange lasted only a few weeks. The screws fell out after a few weeks of use. They fixed it once and two weeks later it broke again. The screw for a set could not be tightened for the second time. The screws of the remaining set must be constantly tightened. Not healthy. Don't waste money on them.
