Keep one of them tied to the gas valve!
If you smell gas at 3am and run outside in your pajamas, the last thing you want to do is find a wrench or something. Take one of these and tie it to the gas valve with a loose piece of (plastic!) twine so it's there when you need it. Pretty standard.) The zinc coating should make it relatively rust resistant, we'll see how it holds up for years, but there's enough metal in it it shouldn't turn to dust overnight. Probably not leaving him right on the floor?
- Both rectangular holes are 1-1/16" wide and 1/2" high.
