Review on Fuel Pump Module Assembly with Sending Unit Replacement for Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 1999-2004 4.0L 4.7L - A Premium Upgrade by Joseph Hall

The rubber seal on the tank lets gas through.

So far the pump is working great. The rubber seal appears to be one size larger than the hole in the fuel tank where the pump is located. A barley with a rubber gasket will not sit around the tank opening unless the gasket has creases as it will not fully expand around the tank opening. The locking ring has been tightened and removed several times to try to secure it well. Gas is still leaking around the pump and I can smell the gas standing outside the car. About a month later I put the original rubber gasket back on the new fuel pump and there was no more gas leaking from the top around the fuel pump and no more smell of gasoline.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some difficulties
