Fuel Pump Module Assembly with Sending Unit Replacement for Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 1999-2004 4.0L 4.7L - A Premium Upgrade Review

Pump fits my 2003 Grand Cherokee 4.0. Be sure to mark the orientation of the old pump before removing it. The Hanes manual shows a corresponding mark on the gas tank, but there was no such mark on my gas tank. Came with fuel filter and float. Was very well packed.

I replaced the old fuel pump with this and one of my concerns was that it would not report the fuel level on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 Limited. Sends the fuel level. I am very satisfied with this product. Update 06/04/2021 - After 2 years and less than 4000 miles the fuel pump has failed. Replaced by Bosch and I hope it will work for more than 2 years.

I understand you get what you pay for in this world and I perhaps didn't expect it to last forever in everyday driving. However, I was hoping that with a small off-road project I was investing in, it would last a few months. So far the pump is working great. The rubber seal appears to be one size larger than the hole in the fuel tank where the pump is located. A barley with a rubber gasket will not sit around the tank opening unless the gasket has creases as it will not fully expand around the tank opening. Pump arrived on time and well packaged. It was in excellent condition, looked exactly like the one I shot. I wasn't sure how to uninstall and install Jus, had to watch some YouTube videos and I managed it in a couple of hours. be careful. The ring was easy to remove but difficult to install.
