rough around the edges

Some inexpensive products are best thought of as a kit that needs some re-figuring to function properly. For me, these crochet hooks were not ready to be used straight out of the package. Most of them had rough spots, which of course snagged the yarn. This problem was easily corrected by rubbing with ultrafine steel wool. Now they work as expected.

Pros

The hooks are smooth and offer a pleasant crochet experience

The hooks may be difficult to clean
