Review on LG 34WK95U W 34 Class UltraWide 5120x2160p 21:9 Monitor by Charles Ligon

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Quality is not what LG used to be

I've had this monitor for three years, here's what happened: • Screens burn easily when your screensaver crashes or doesn't work after a major update - 4 times I've had it twice with Windows and 1 time with Apple (something to note) (My bug here) • The main switch button on the monitor for the controls is very temperamental in the way you press it to get the settings you want. (opinion) works doesn't work, has to click many times to get what you want • My use cases: professional design for larger companies (UX/UI, visual and motion). I've had to calibrate and tweak my own profiles many times, but I found I had to do this regularly and also saw some inconsistencies in colors and vice versa from MAC vs LG. • The main complaint is one that I ignored when reading this monitor and researching how the comments were all over the place. There was "Thunderbolt Input" or "Thunderbolt stopped working" - mine blew up. I'm not kidding, a few weeks after my three year warranty expired. It's useless now - From updates to cables to many forums still broken LG won't fix it. No, if not high shipping costs and parts/labor costs. The price was not worth the years I invested in this monitor and the results it delivered with all the effort and were not entirely reliable.
