I use silicone tape for a variety of jobs around the house and I don't usually find much variety in terms of quality. I bought this band because I recently bought paddles and my family wanted me to soften the grips a bit. This job requires quite a bit of tape, so I decided to look for something cheaper than what I usually buy. Overall I think Xfasten is a good deal. If you need to cover linear feet but don't want to spend a lot, this is a good option. The tape can be a bit thinner than what I usually use if you stretch it, but considering how much longer it's still a good deal. I could probably go back to styluses twice if I wanted to and still be under the price of more expensive silicone straps. The real test will be when I can get the kayaks out to see how well the tape handles real life paddling conditions. If it comes off I know I've had to redo it, but my first impression is that the tape sticks well and seems quite strong.
