I am currently using the Logitech MX Ergo that originally came with a grey shimmer track ball and I wanted something that would visually pop more. I picked this one simply because it was an appealing color at and appealing price that met the size specs. Initially, the ball was a little stiff in movement after seating due to its perfectly clean surface from manufacturing. After about a weeks use and regular weekly cleaning, the ball glides smoothly without any jostling in the housing or overspin from throwing the cursor across 3 monitors. The color of the ball itself hasn't shown any noticeable lag in tracking like other colored balls have been known to do. As long a s you keep the housing and ball itself clean and don't let gunk accumulate this ball is golden!
