Valentine A user, reverse polarity wire
I determined my +/- on my car with a voltmeter. Inserted red in + and black in -. That does not work. I checked the radar wiring to make sure it has power and it is. I have checked/verified the original V1 cable and found that the cable is reversed. Finally I connected red to "-" and black to "+" and it worked! Your polarity may be correct for other brands but not for V1.
