Review on πŸͺ’ Random Orbital Adhesive Sanding Sandpaper by Rob Allen

Light jobs and soft woods - not hard maple

I'm starting to work as a carpenter. I bought them to have a variety of cereals at a great price. They seemed to work great for the first projects I made with construction board and plywood. However, the 60, 80, and 120 grit didn't have enough strength to knock off the tabs of the hard maple cutting board. I grinded whenever I could for several days and couldn't seem to get anywhere. The 120 grit hand sandpaper did more to remove material than the 60 grit sandpaper in this pack. I went to the local shop and got the 80's and 120's stamped and the job was done in an hour. The 180 and 240(?) grit in this pack worked well enough to sand hard maple. I find sanding the least enjoyable part of woodworking. I have a young family. My time is too valuable to waste polishing. I will continue to use the coarser grits in the pack but use the brand name for the finer grits to save time. I would recommend these discs to anyone not planning on using them on hardwood. Otherwise just choose a more expensive brand to save a lot of time.
