I paid FULL price for a NEW teapot but received a USED product. As my husband carried my birth, I heard a roar from the box. I immediately opened the outer box and when I opened the product box I noticed that one side of the box was sealed with tape. When I opened the box I found the plastic that was supposed to cover the product under the kettle at the bottom of the box and the kettle's glass lid that was not secured in the box. I pulled out the kettle and immediately noticed a scratch on the kettle. Upon further investigation, stains were found on the floor outside the base and inside the teapot. Finally, I examined the product packaging and found an outdated sticker on it. I paid full price for a brand new item but I received an obviously used kettle! Seriously thinking about going back! Photos are attached. UPDATE: I sent the kettle back. The kettle does NOT whine when first used. It appears to be slightly bent and doesn't have a good seal to whistle.
