Replaced a 7 year old part with this one. It turns out that Winegard recommends lubricating the gearbox (and the sealing washer attached to it) with silicone spray every six months. who knew However, the original leaked water into the van. The replacement part has a cut shank, so prepare a hacksaw. The hardest part of this setup was getting me onto the roof of my setup. While you're there, check your antenna cable connections for leaks and weather damage. Once that's done, it's probably worth checking your roof for any maintenance issues like cracked caulk or repairs that need to be addressed. Happy camping!
