Let me start by rating the user interface. I'm a network engineer. The user interface is too simple and limited to advanced configuration. For example, I would rather set up my DNS with OpenDNS than with the standard broadband DNS. The UI doesn't allow you to change the DNS settings for a DHCP scope. If you have ever used a Nest product and been satisfied with it, you will get the same sense of quality and simplicity with this product. Didn't have to interact with tech support to give an accurate assessment/rate of why it got 5 stars by default. Packing: Very well packed. Very similar to an apple, nest, excellent packaging, very pleasant first impression. Hardware: Well built and solid. The base is slightly smaller than a small tissue box. Mesh antennas are almost twice the size of a standard wall outlet. The antennas are connected to a 3-pin power supply with a strong magnet. Antennas rotate when necessary, which is very convenient. The app was easy to download and interact with. Initially, it will automatically connect to the default ssid. The wizard guides you through the system setup. It is very easy to follow the steps and if you do them correctly, it will connect to the Internet and most likely offer to update the firmware. If you have mesh antennas, make sure they are plugged in and connected to the base before updating the firmware. I have AT&T fiber. I just disabled my WiFi on my AT&T router. Connect the basic Amplifi internet port to the switch port on the router. After going through the wizard, it got connected to the internet and all wireless devices got connected. I used the same SSID and pre-shared WPA2 key that was configured on the AT&T router. That way I didn't have to reconfigure all 20+ devices in my house. It was so easy to install. Make sure you are using the Ethernet cable that came with Amplifi. I used a bad cable and had bad performance. I haven't had any performance issues with the device since installation. It supports IPv6, port forwarding, range management, NAT UPNP, bridge mode. I was just disappointed I couldn't configure DNS options in the DHCP settings
