Best tripod ball head I've ever had. PERIOD.

needed a new tripod ball head because the one that came with my SIRUI carbon fiber tripod didn't fit the camera frame when I switched from landscape to portrait mode while shooting and not everything worked that way. down because it hits the panning control. There is nothing wrong with this ball head, but now I understand what others are saying about the difference between a "premium" tripod head and the tripod head that comes with it. Control, ease of use of levers/buttons is on a completely different level in comparison. If I wanted to "unlock" the ball on my other ballheads, I would have to turn the knob in a way that would require more effort than just slightly moving the lever that moves either of the two available U-slots left or right turn end to end and reattach using the same lever. It saves you a few seconds, but that's what it's all about, providing the best, most efficient, and user-friendly experience. It has panning sliders both at the bottom and at the top. Ball head so you have 2 horizontal axes to adjust without adjusting the ball yourself. Everything about this ball head screams quality, smooth finish, levels on every axis, this tool is a joy to use. The carrying case contains fine adjustment tools and adapters for various tripod threads. I'm glad to have added this tool to my daily lineup and will recommend it.
