Review on NETGEAR Gigabit Download 1 4Gbps Certified by Sam Lee

Update: This modem has become really stable over the past few months. Either Comcast did indeed fix the internet problems in my area and/or updated the firmware for this modem after my initial problems. Now this modem works stably and rarely causes problems. For the price I have nothing to complain about. So far, this thing remains stable for the foreseeable future. Fingers crossed. When I bought this in April to replace an old Arris model cable modem (which had similar reset issues) I LOVED it. Was fast and really took advantage of the speed of my Comcast internet plans. Fast forward 4 months and now I sometimes have to restart this thing more than 4 times a day. Was really disappointed. Of course, I've passed the free tech support window as well as my Revain return window. At this point I don't know if this is a ploy by Comcast to get you to pay their exorbitant prices for modem/router rentals (because this is my 2nd purchased modem having these issues with 2 different brands/models ) or if it is a Netgear modem it is just a POS. I'm guessing it's a $100 paperweight now because I can't restart my modem. I can't imagine it lasting very long and having to be recharged that often. I often work from home, also enjoy playing online games and watching TV streaming content on the internet. I just can't have problems like that. IT MAKES ME CRAZY!
