The best scent for incense and incense sticks

I have been buying these over the years and in my opinion there is no better scent. As a child, my mother had a sandalwood fan and wooden comb from South Korea, and it always reminds me of the pure smell of sandalwood. Also, this incense stick has no wood core, which means less soot in the air you breathe, just pure scent. A lot of people come to my house a few hours after I burn it and ask what the smell is, and then they usually go and buy it. It comes with a small tile to hold your incense stick, but I would suggest using it in combination with a ceramic burner and lining up the holes so the incense stick doesn't tip over at an angle where ash lands all over the place. In any case, there is usually very little ash. The wooden box add-on that kept the incense in for so long also smells so great I can't throw it away, so I use it to store small things for a while until the smell goes away. To update; I have never used any other incense in 10 years, but I will try something new. Last summer I went to a Buddhist temple with my mother and chose incense sticks that I liked. The room went silent and she told me it was to burn after people died. Oops. So not that. I guess I'm ready for something new. This is still my way, but I'll cover some new ones.
