After searching and reading millions of realistic sheepskin rug reviews. I needed it to be machine washable knowing our 2 large dogs would lie on it. I chose this Chesserfield rug. I was skeptical that it would look swanky and ridiculous in our rustic modern ranch home as I really like real furs. When I got it I put it on the floor thinking everything would be fine. Then I remembered that the reviewer had said to wash it in cold water before use and tumble dry on low. So at that moment I had to commit to keeping it. Then I noticed a note card in pretty packaging that said I should wash it before use. I washed and dried a size 4x6 lightly in a front load washer and dryer. Washing changed everything! It looks more natural because the edges are more like real sheepskin and so soft. This 4x6 size is great. I use it under the bench at the foot of our king bed. I'm really glad I bought this. Don't judge how it looks until you wash it! Highly recommended.
