I bought this for my 10-10 1/4 inch wide Ativafit magnet bike seat. The seat is actually firm and well padded. But the actually high-quality vinyl cover of the seat, which is not shiny and not slippery, can also be covered softly: This cover with foam insert nestles perfectly against the seat, as if it were specially made for it. If you didn't include a foam insert, you'd be rigged up to a larger seat. As with the driver/seat interface, a cover without a foam insert would be fine, it is inherently very soft. As for the foam, it's the same material you could get at Michael's store to make something like a pillow. For my purposes this is perfect. And as another buyer pointed out, you can get higher density foam and cut it out using the foam provided as a template. Just make sure the foam isn't thicker than the original foam, or if it is, make sure the cover fits the seat plus replacement foam.
