Updated. This made a huge difference to my mid 2012 i5 MacBook Pro. I only had 4GB and after upgrading to Catalina it was so slow. After learning that Catalina was using 2GB, I decided to upgrade to 16GB. Extremely easy storage installation. I took out 2-2 gigabyte flash drives and replaced them in 5 minutes. All 16GB got up with no problems. Logic Pro X and Chrome can be easily reused. Works 10 times faster. No more turning the ball and letting it sit for 15 minutes. I added a 1TB SSD and it's faster than when I started the computer. Now my computer will turn on in 30 seconds. Amazing upgrade. Now I can start editing and producing this material in earnest.
