Review on Original Engine Management 8841 Neutral by Michael Miles

I bought this switch from Revain for $42 which is half what the Snatcher did, oops I meant the dealer wanted to charge a fee. This is a high quality Gear Range Sensor (also called some Neutral Safety Switches) for a 2004 Lincoln Aviator. It offers a variety of switching functions such as turning on the reversing lights, the neutral protection switch and locking the gear selector switch (without using the foot brake). The hardest part of replacing the derailleur was loosening the 21mm nut on the shifter shaft. Wire brush, some WD-40 and after 5 minutes the nut is off! Once the nut has been removed you can remove the shifter, then you will need to remove the 8mm bolts that hold the shifter to the side of the gearbox. Remove the wire connector from the old switch. Go back upstairs to install the new switch. EZPS!
