Review on ASUS BW-16D1X-U External Blu-ray BDXL Drive: 16x Speed, BD Suite Disc, USB 3.0 Cable, Power Adapter and Cord Included by Mark Hart

This is my third one. First I ordered two. One was DOIA on arrival. They exchanged it quickly and without any problems. But now after about 3 months the replacement makes really horrible noises when you open and close the drawer and it takes way too long to identify the discs and start the burning process. I can do a side-by-side comparison with another player using the same software and files. Correct working is initialized and quickly begins to burn. The one with the bad sounds takes a few minutes before it even starts to burn and only makes sounds that lead me to believe it's going to fail very soon. So that would mean 50% bounce. I don't know if I would buy them again. At least I have asurion's guarantee because I think I'll have to send it back and cross my fingers that the new one works. But the other drive that works worked great, quiet and very fast.
