Review on Etnies Calli-Cut Men's Skate Shoe by Aries Boyce

Okay, I'm usually an Etnies fan, but these are just uncomfortable shoes. The problem is twofold: the lace holes are too wide on the shoe and/or the tongue isn't wide enough. If you're one of those people who takes out their shoes every time and ties them up tight like Mr. Rogers, you'll probably be fine. If you're like me (and most of us are shoemakers), take your new sneakers out of the box, carefully lace them up, make sure the laces are even, flat and even, tie them loosely, double knot, pin the shoelaces in. and never tie them again. All of my shoes are mostly slip-ons. I wear comfortable shoes because I want to feel good. After tying them loosely as intended, the lace hole digs into the bone on the top of my foot. Moving the tongue brings relief, but soon it slips back. I have no idea what Ethnis thought of the design here, but unless you're planning on donning them in preparation for an impromptu meetup at the racetrack, I'd avoid them. Two stars because they look sick.
