This Genie remote was compatible with my 11 year old. old garage door. I had no problem programming it and syncing it with my Genie garage door took less than 2 minutes. I had to replace one of the lost remote controls. On the other remote, see picture, the main button is worn out, but don't worry, just program one of the other buttons so you don't have to buy another one if you don't need the extra one. I only have one garage door so the 3 button remote came in handy and the rest of the buttons can be used as they wear out. Save your money this way. Even the remote distance of 50 feet worked for me. 4 stars just for drinking in one day. Hope that helps. Much luck.
