Review on Universal Professional Replacement Weatherproofing Strip by Wanick Palermo

First off, the product is great. Second, I read a lot of installation advice, from silicone grease to soapy water. I haven't done any of this. First I removed the aluminum track on the underside of the garage door. (I did this by drilling holes in the old hard gasket to access the zipper screws you can see on the back of the metal door). I then removed all of the old gasket (piece by piece with a frosted knife), which would have been next to impossible with the rail still attached. I then cut out a 3" section of the new material (see picture) and run it through the trace to determine where it stuck, and then drilled, chiseled, or filed the rough edges where the stripping meshed. This smoothing process took maybe 10-15 minutes. After the sample section was completely through the guide, I reinstalled the guide to the door and then attached the new strip. I did it myself and still had to do the push and pull process, but it never went off track, never snagged or snapped. Installation took about 30 minutes. Overall a great product! I support!
