Review on 🔧 Dorman 977-300 Fuel Injection Throttle Body - Optimized for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury Models by Jason Graham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great replacement in fuel system

Purchased for a 2010 Ford Escape Limited 2.5L. We had the infamous throttle body sticking issue, the dealer wouldn't replace it unless a code P2111 or P2112 showed up on their OBD scanner. If you had this problem then you know that the code disappears when the car is restarted. It's unrealistic to try to take it to the dealer in an emergency if there is a problem, or to let the car run for 1 hour (service manager's instruction to get the code to save) while it shakes horribly. We decided it would be easier and cheaper to replace it yourself. A trip to the dealer for an OBD scan is $100 and if the code isn't there you have to pay that and still have no spare part plus gas for 2 cars to take to the shop. You will get an image. We replaced this part in less than 10 minutes (many videos on YouTube show you how to replace the new part and get the computer to relearn it). It fits perfectly and works great from day one. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the gasket isn't included (we used the original gasket for 150k, still looked good). Will be updated if there are problems.
