Completely fixed engine judder and low idle/stop in mine.

Completely fixed engine surge and low idle/stall on my 2011 Escape 2.5L. I never got the error code but I didn't want to wait for it. As others have said, if you replace the throttle body, disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes to clear the computer as the computer will need to relearn the throttle positions. When finished, allow the engine to warm up for 10-15 minutes for the relearn process. Took me about 10 minutes to replace the part, about 45 minutes total.

Easier than I expected!

P2119 Engine Light On. I did a little research on the internet and found that gas is a common problem. Ford had an extended warranty for this problem, but it turned out my car had just expired. I watched some videos on youtube and thought is it really that easy to do it yourself. It was. Only thing is I didn't have a torque wrench so I watched closely to see how tight the bolts were. They're not very tight. So far everything seems to be working fine and my problem is solved. Guess what, if…

Worked/Works Great: Fuel System

I have a 2010 Mercury Milan with the typical bad throttle body. The car started to drive hard, disappeared and didn't even want to shift gears. At first I thought I had a bad gearbox as that is also a disadvantage of these cars. Changed the accelerator and the car runs like magic, shifts great etc. The replacement took about 15 minutes, the car started and drove like new. Hello Ford owners! Ford will replace it for free once you go through the dealer, which is great if you can wait to get the…

Great price, works great, easy to install

I recently bought a 2010 Escape for my daughter's first car. It worked great for a month and then went into sluggish home mode when we pulled out of the driveway. All symptoms pointed to a throttle body fault. As soon as we got home I ordered a Dorman pad. It came the next day and I got to work. Replacing the device took about 20 minutes and the problem was fixed immediately. Build quality is excellent so far - I have no complaints - and it comes with a fantastic warranty. Installation is very…

2012 Fusion SEL 3.0 Sluggish pedal no idle etc etc

My Fusion was purchased from the dealer on the 18th October, it drove great but always felt good, a little odd in the pedal . He felt stuck or lethargic. The ROMs also clipped a bit when shifting, shifting was slow and sometimes requiring extra throttle to shift into the next gear. There also seemed to be a slight drop in performance, although I had never driven this car before buying it. I was just feeling a little out of shape. ALL SOLVED. It shifts well, the discs are stable and shift…

Excellent TV. for fuel system

Beautiful throttle body for your Ford Fusion. I replaced another one that was faulty and this one felt springier and my 2012 3.0 Duratec kicked up a bit. good price too. Just understand that it is all together, the throttle body and the computer control unit connected, but you will have to buy a gasket separately, although it is shown in the picture here. Just make sure you disconnect the battery, either after you put it in or before the car has to relearn. A NOTICE. It's a pity Ford didn't…

Perfect fit for Ford Escape 2010 V6

Replacement for 2010 Ford Escape XLT V6. This is my second TB installed in my car. The first was under warranty during the "recall" "no recall" program. Come on Ford, I've been with you for 20 years. You can do better. These TBs are a joke on most of your current models. The whining is over. I'll preface this by saying that I'm generally not mechanically inclined to cars. I always leave it to the experts, but money is tight and I started exploring how difficult it would be. The part was…

Great replacement in fuel system

Purchased for a 2010 Ford Escape Limited 2.5L. We had the infamous throttle body sticking issue, the dealer wouldn't replace it unless a code P2111 or P2112 showed up on their OBD scanner. If you had this problem then you know that the code disappears when the car is restarted. It's unrealistic to try to take it to the dealer in an emergency if there is a problem, or to let the car run for 1 hour (service manager's instruction to get the code to save) while it shakes horribly. We decided it…
