The supplied microphone was completely unusable. I have to keep it about 1 inch from my mouth or people won't hear me. I ordered a different microphone but the pinout was different. I tried to contact the seller to ask about the characteristics of the microphone but did not receive an answer. Installation was easy once you are comfortable with the tools. The port on my particular model of head unit wasn't where the demos showed it, making it difficult to plug in without removing the head unit. But I managed to connect it. Streaming audio from my phone sounds good and clear. I mostly listen to podcasts so there isn't much music. I have to turn up the volume on the local radio about 2x. I just have to remember to turn the volume down when switching between inputs. If I can get a better mic there's one I can mount on a steering column or visor; I would be completely satisfied with that.
