My car is painted metallic dark blue but you won't see it unless you get close. The paint is dull and looks like fine sandpaper. It really needs to be sanitized which is why I bought this stuff. I used it according to the directions on the bottle and it worked like a charm. As the product lingered on the paint, I noticed that everywhere I spray it turns purple! After washing, I was surprised to see that the color had more sparkle and a deeper, lighter color. The paint feels a lot better too, but a tone bar is still needed for a perfect paint job. There were stains on the plastic trim, but I was able to wipe the stain off with an all-purpose cleaner. Overall, this product worked very well and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. The only disappointment I had with it was that I wish I had bought more. The single bottle barely covered my Mazda 6 and I couldn't hit the wheels when I ran out of the bottle. I would say if you have a small car one bottle should be enough, but if you have a medium sized car or larger you should buy 2 or more bottles. They're a bit pricey, but decontamination is something you won't do that often.
