Love the variety in this set. I just found them great for all types of sculpting and even useful for texture painting, especially the soft end tools. My only criticism is the soft tips which I use the most, I had to re-stick the tips and the surface tore a bit but that's to be expected from cheaper heavy duty tools. I also really like the Blue Handle Ballpoint Tools because I didn't expect them to be so heavy and sometimes that extra weight is really handy. All in all just a really good general purpose tool kit. I think it would be good for beginners
