Installation was a little more difficult than it needed trying to hide the wiring and connectors to allow the side of the lock to snap in and sit flush with the door. Also, programming wasn't difficult at all. Pressing the "slap" button at the top will illuminate all the buttons in bright blue, making it easier to enter codes in the dark. Feels very safe and strong. So far it has survived several heavy rains in the Pacific Northwest and not a single short circuit. I'm curious how long the battery will last. UPDATE: 12/16/2018 I still haven't had to change the battery and we use the garage door several times a day. We liked this lock so much we bought another one for our back door. It's cool that you don't have to fiddle with keys while holding kids and groceries! There are no regrets here! If you're on the fence, definitely worth the $100!
