TIF 9055 Programmable Charge/Recovery Meter

I've had this programmable TIF 9055 charge/recovery meter for a number of years now and find it very accurate, but I don't really use all of the extra features it has so often. , so I will use my TIF 9010A more often. However, if you need to auto-recover for some reason, preventing the recovery cylinder from overflowing can help. You can also program it to measure a specific amount of refrigerant flow. So if you need to auto-fill or re-fill multiple identical devices with a critical fill, it can also be useful to increase productivity for this type of work. The tethered display is a bit heavy and bulky as it contains a solenoid valve to control the flow of refrigerant and a 9v battery and four AA batteries to power both the display and the solenoid. The solenoid valve is rated at 500psi so this unit can also be used with R410A. This scale has a 220lbs capacity so it can easily handle both 30lb and 50lb cylinders. The display is zeroed for tare and can be configured to show lb/oz, lb or kg. It comes with a decent hinged plastic case that you can either leave the scale in or remove and place directly on the floor. When I bought mine it also came with two 1/2" Acme automotive adapters, but I don't know if TIF still includes them or not. Overall I'd say this device should work well for you if you need a refrigerant metering function, but it's a little pricey. So if you're really just looking for a scale and can do without the metering and memory-recall capabilities, you could probably save some money by just getting a decent digital refrigerant dial instead.
