Well made and accurate, used professionally

Bought to replace a Milwaukee infrared which a friend dropped and broke. I chose this one because it has the same temperature readings as my old one but was half the price. I have other Fluke products and am happy with them. The instruction manual is written in many languages (including English), but everything is illustrative. You need to look very closely at the pictures to determine exactly what they are telling you about how to set it up and use it. Requires one included AA battery (Duracell). I tested this by pointing it at a pot of boiling water. After adjusting for elevation, it was within 1 degree of where it should have been. I use this tool in mechanical troubleshooting to find engine cylinders that are running hotter or colder than others to determine which cylinder has a problem. I also use it in electronics to determine the temperature of components. This gun is solid and well made, with a slightly padded grip to keep it in place and also protects against falls.

Pros
  • Thermometer
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
