This particular draft board is very easy to use. Set-up took about a minute with pieces clamping in snugly. The product as a whole feels sturdy despite being plastic. The moving bits (compass and Right-angle) simply slide along a rail which is a part of the perpendicular ruler. While not elegant, it gets the job done, though it may be difficult for some to create lines lower on the composition unless they pull it out and place it in upside down. Additionally, I see no way to keep the paper flush when the board is angled (using the given stands). I did note that the gray piece at the bottom does move up, but this doesn't feel intended to me at all (if it is, then something must be wrong with mine, as it feels a bit loose).
