Review on 🚰 BPA Free CamelBak Eddy+ Water Bottle - Enhance Hydration and Sustainability by Edward Henderson

A stunning redesign of a classic bottle!

I've been using Camelbak Eddy bottles for at least 10 years. These are the perfect bottles to take to work, the streets or the gym. I use my bottles primarily at the gym where I can easily carry them around and quickly drink water when I need it. What I love about Eddy Bottles is that they are strong and leak proof. I never have to worry about my bottles bursting when dropped or running all over my backpack and I've dropped plenty of them! The new Eddy+ bottle design brings some welcome changes. First, the loop on the bottle is larger. Instead of just putting one finger through the loop, you can now put 3 fingers through. Now I feel like I'm less likely to drop the bottle when lugging it around the gym. The outlet has also received a slight redesign. The nose is now concave instead of convex. At first I didn't know what I would think of this change, but it turned out to be very useful. I have a feeling you can get a little more water out of the spout, and there's a convenient place to rest your tongue (if you like poking your tongue against a water bottle?). Finally, the top of the bottle was slightly modified. There is no longer a screw under the spout like there was on the old bottle. I've often found that every now and then dirt got into this screw and had to be cleaned by hand, but it's gone now. The Eddie bottle is difficult to clean by hand. CamelBak only sells cleaning kits for cleaning bottles. I have found that if I put the bottles, straws and caps in the dishwasher after use, the bottles come out sparkling clean. In my experience I have found that just washing bottles by hand without using a cleaning brush will result in dirt building up in the bottle over time no matter how many times you wash the bottle. You need to clean VERY carefully inside the spout, under the lid, and where the straw meets the lid. I've found that if you ignore these spots, black mold spots are guaranteed to grow back after a while. Overall I love these CamelBak bottles and the new design is definitely a step in the right direction for me! I will definitely be buying more of these if I inevitably lose my current bottle.
