Review on ๐Ÿ’จ Upgraded 95-125 PSI Air Compressor Pressure Switch with Unloader Valve by Kevin Shimmens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked well on my Craftsman 12 gallon compressor 919.176311.

Just installed on my 1985 Craftsman 919.176311 12 Gallon 1 HP Compressor. Really close to the original Furnas Electric CAC-4220-1 switch. The original discharge tube was bolted on and even had the same thread size as the nut and no bending of the tube was required. Here's what you need to do: Purchase the shortest 1/4NPT nipple you can find for redundant mounting. Unscrew the original wire tabs from the Furnas switch and screw them onto the Lefoo. Pull the rubber cone plugs out of the Lefoo, use pliers to clamp the original plastic wire bushings and secure into the Lefoo switch housing. they fit perfectly. THIS CRAFTSMAN COMPRESSOR WAS RATED FOR 80-100psi. I turned the shiny metal adjustment screw counterclockwise 2 1/2 turns and the new switch is now in the 75-105psi range. Near enough! Didn't touch the big black plastic screw. The OFF/AUTO switch is in the correct position but the lever orientation is wrong for my handyman. Luckily the plated steel lever is a dead soft steel wire and I was able to CAREFULLY bend it back into the compressor panel slot and give it a tight circular shape. BENDING, HOLDING TWO POINTS OF ARM WITH TWO FORCERS. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE FRAGILE SWITCH. HE COULD BE BROKEN! I soldered a bent piece of 1/8" wire to the end of the Lefoo shifter. Now the shifter works like the original master! PLEASE NOTE THAT ON MY ORIGINAL CRAFTSMAN SHIFTER, FAULTY CONTACTS WERE REALLY WELDED TOGETHER AND THE ENGINE WAS NOT SHUT OFF! THE CONTACT METAL IS COMPLETELY GONE AND THE CONTACT RIVET WAS JUST BRASS AND WELDING TO ITSELF >>> This new switch made in China is a great deal if it lasts as long as the original. The delivery was very slow but the wait is worth it worth it!
