AMAZING HOW EASY IT MAKES THINGS

I used a power drill to drill 8 holes in 6.3/8" diameter steel plates to cover the die cast aluminum case with uneven screw holes for two pieces and to protect equipment. That leaves me with four additional plates, two of which we can add to the tool platform. It's amazing how easy and quick this made the job without wasting time measuring the bolt hole locations. I just fitted four of the centering lug holes into the four threaded holes in the case. While one person pressed the plate against the case, I tapped the first plate once over each center hole tip with a hammer. I drilled those four holes and placed the tool hole centering tips in the remaining four holes. I then installed the panel using the four holes previously drilled, pressed down and tapped directly over the 4 points, one tap each. This leaves tiny alignment marks on the steel plate. Before drilling I re-centered all the holes. I wanted the glasses to stay in good condition so I could use them on other projects. I didn't notice any damage to the tips or threads in the case, but I didn't hit the record too hard, just enough to leave a tiny mark. I then used the first board as a drill guide and used the transfer punch to drill through the remaining boards. They all fitted great and it took about 4 hours to complete the drilling for this project. sr_1_1_sspa?crid=8WVGCLX8F3NH&keywords=transfer+punch+set&qid=1637882796&sprefix=transfer+punch%2Caps%2C260&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVk9ZNDVZSElUWENZJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUExMDAyNTg3MlpaOThVUENRQlBITyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjM3MjY0MU4wVkNMSVJUNjhUSCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
