Ok shopping. The screws worked very well, but they are tall so you have to drive them pretty deep into the hole for an accurate transfer. The real issue I have is the case itself which is aluminum. If you screw them into tight holes, the aluminum socket may come loose. My purchase was a one hit deal and I had to drill through a couple of gears. I used a power drill to drill 8 holes in 6.3/8" diameter steel plates to cover the die cast aluminum case with uneven screw holes for two pieces and to protect equipment. That leaves me with four additional plates, two of which we can add to the tool platform. It's amazing how easy and quick this made the job without wasting time measuring the bolt hole locations. I tested them on an aluminum project and they worked very well. The dots are pretty sharp and seemed to outlast a project and it looks like they have plenty of life left. The dots aren't perfectly centered, but close enough for what I did. maybe within .015", maybe less, but probably better than a threaded hole.
