Impact wrenches are very powerful and can often damage parts like brake discs if wheel bolts are over tightened. Up to 100 lb-ft, I knew before buying that the actual final torque would be about 10-15 lb-ft lower and that my car needed 88 lb-ft of torque on my lug nuts. The torque on my lug nuts should be 85 lb-ft (+/- 5) before I finish to 88 lb-ft with my torque wrench. Almost perfect for my needs but be aware that this is not a perfectly accurate tool, it is designed to limit torque when using high torque devices such as impact guns. And it gets the job done accurately and keeps it safe. It's also useful if you're using regular non-impact heads as it helps reduce the risk of them breaking on impact, but it definitely doesn't eliminate that risk.
