Works as advertised, even better. I have a Mac Mini (Late 2012) with OSX El Capitan. A few days ago my ethernet port died, fried or committed suicide. My diagnosis was no different than what had just happened, although I somewhat denied it. So I bought a TRENDnet USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Wired LAN Adapter to solve my problem. I had concerns about how this would work since I've never used it. For now it's Wi-Fi forever or try this adapter. I prefer a wired network connection over Wi-Fi any day of the week. My provider is TWC, we pay for 200 Mbps downstream x 20 Mbps downstream. While I don't have screenshots of my previous speeds before the ethernet port died, it was around 150Mbps (bottleneck) and maybe 10-15Mbps. Since installing the TRENDnet adapter, we've had incredible speeds with full downstream bandwidth and delivered with no downstream bottlenecks. See image. I can highly recommend the product. Everything else works as it should!
