You cannot reuse the metal key from your original keyring, you must carve a blank into this keyring at the blacksmith.

The one star rating is due to not being an exact replica of the original key mechanism. The original mechanism unscrews the metal part of the key from the rest of the fob. The metal part is formed into a key fob. It may be close enough depending on how you want to use it. I planned to take the brain and metal key from my original and put them in the body of this keyring. If you wish to use this product you will need to find a blacksmith willing to cut the metal for you. You cannot exchange the metal of your original key and put it in this product.
