I have used K&N filters on several vehicles. When I had 20,000 miles on my RAM 3500 DRW box filter that was black with soot I tried K&N. In the past, I've fallen victim to the marketing bias, telling myself that my car was "a little faster" or that my tank was a little less full. But with the advent of onboard driving metrics like my truck's fuel economy, I can write an unbiased review. I drive 25 km a day, mostly in city traffic. I drove my car for a week after installing the filters to allow my computer to make any adjustments needed for my average gas mileage. I haven't changed my driving habits. Before installing I had 16.5 mpg. A week after installing the filter I have 17.1 mpg. It definitely works and considering it's a diesel engine it will definitely pay for itself over time. Installation on Cummins 6.7 takes about five minutes. There are 3 screws to remove and it will be much easier if you separate the air sensor from the airbox. There is also a large clamp that can be released to make the process easier. Lots of YouTube videos to watch before you buy. Hope that helps.
