This kit has everything you need to start cross stitching or stock up. They really have thought of everything! I'm not new to sewing, but sometimes I like to buy a kit because all the work and hard decisions are already done and all you have to do is sew. MUCH nicer than the bamboo hoops that come with most sets. * Comes with 37 colors of floss pre-wound on cardboard spools - winding all that floss is going to take a long time and all the work has been done for you! * Very Nice Assemble Instruction Book - Tells you everything you need to know to get started. * Fun and unique original patterns with vibrant colors. * Really great price! Buying all of these items at a craft store would cost A LOT more. I was very drawn to the happy little rainbow because I've never had the chance to cross stitch on pre-printed fabric (and because rainbow stitches are always a lot of fun!). It was so bright and easy to embroider and the ink bled immediately after soaking in the bowl of warm water. I think this company really has something in mind with this idea. It's really nice to have Aida fabric pre-printed with a 10 square grid because the most annoying thing about cross stitch for me is the counting (and counting errors). The perfect kit for a child or anyone wanting to learn cross stitch. Sting. Will be a great gift.
