
I have used wet-dry sandpaper for the past 30 years. So far I have always used 3M car sandpaper. I am restoring a finish on a 1992 Explorer and needed a wide range of grits. This is just a quick and messy restoration so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on 3M sandpaper or use up the supply I had. I'm surprised at how well this sandpaper holds up. It absolutely can't be beat for the price and has pretty much everything you could want. For plastic surfaces and lenses, I like to start with an 800 grit for a quick, even finish and then move up to a 1000+ grit. I've used them with some of my 3M products and they seem to work for about 1/5 the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. My only concern is that they will pucker when wet, but that happens to all, even 3M products.
