Since we installed spark gaps we haven't heard any whistling noises.

We recently bought new washing machines. In addition to the washing machine turning on and off quickly while filling, rinsing and shutting down, we heard pipes rattling. It was an uncomfortable experience. I researched and settled on this product. Our internal water pressure is around 62 and this product has reduced pipe knock. And they were very easy to install.
