Do not attempt to use these rails with hex head screws. It won't work unless you redrill the holes or reshape the countersink. Works well with T-bolts. I can't tell if the countersink is badly formed or if it's just an angle not found in regular devices, but I couldn't find a screw that was flush enough to use hex head screws. In addition, they are too fragile for surface mounting. . With stiffer rails, you don't have to worry about bending the rails when surface mounting the rail. You must be very careful when mounting them on the surface. Combined with the hardware/sinking issue, it's difficult to keep them straight.
