Favorite Tea and Fantastic Gift! I have now bought 3 of these mugs - 2 for myself so one can be washed in the dishwasher and used clean and the other as a gift. What I love most is that I can warm up some filtered water from the fridge right in the cup (2 minutes 10 seconds is ideal). Then I set up the basket and water it. When the brewing process is finished, I can put the used tea strainer directly into the inverted lid and usually reuse the tea. This is a quick and easy tea for one person! These teacups are nice and big as they hold 12 ounces when filled to the inner lip. But I usually fill it up to about 10 ounces so I have room to add cream and sugar. TIP: Get some iced teaspoons (Buyer Star 4pcs Long Stem Iced Tea, 8" 4 Color Ice Cream Mixing Spoon, Stainless Steel Cocktail Bar Spoon) if you don't take your black tea, because it's a good one , deep cup of tea! Dishwasher washing has worked great for me, although sometimes I hand wash a dishwasher that isn't full enough to do the job. The strainer basket has incredibly fine holes/mesh, but some of the best teas still strain (when they're fine as sand) so I give the basket a light tap on the debris before brewing and it seems to work fine. RECOMMENDATION: I would buy this mug again and again for myself and also as a gift! If you are a frequent tea brewer and want to feel the rush of your special teacup, please treat yourself and buy one of these mugs! But it won't be the last ;)
