update after a trip to West Rattlesnake Mountain. I whipped out these binoculars when I reached the top of West Rattlesnake Mountain and when I focused the image I was stunned by what I saw. The picture was crisp and the colors so vibrant. After testing this product in my garden I expect it to be good, but in my first real field test it exceeded my expectations. And best of all, it's so light and compact that I don't feel like it's hanging off my shoulder all the time. I'm heading to Acadia National Park next week and can't wait to see what these binoculars can do for me. Again, the 12x magnification requires proper hand holding technique, so your left hand needs to be pressed against your body for proper support. Otherwise the image will twitch a little if you don't hold it properly. Now if they could add optical image stabilization to these binoculars like my camera lens, that would be a dream. Zoom For bird and wildlife viewing, however, this is the place to be. The binoculars are beautifully designed and the picture is the clearest I've seen from any binoculars I've used in the past. I expect these binoculars to take my outdoor experience to the next level.
